The campsite is nestled between shady cork trees, baobabs, mopanes and seringas. Being close to a natural waterhole attracts many of the animals on the nearby ridges. Leopards and hyenas frequent the area as well as numerous bird species such as African Green pigeons and verreaux eagle owls.
There are 24 individual sites in an un-fenced area. The location has three ablutions blocks each containing 4 showers, 4 toilets, 2 basins and an outside sink for washing. Electricity (15amp & 220 power) is available at each individual site and the ablution blocks.
Firewood and ice is available for purchase. Also, you can enjoy great food and drinks the Mapesu Wilderness Camp Restaurant & Bar (500 meters driving) as well as usage of the pool and dining spaces.
